LAS VEGAS – Week 3 of the NFL season is nearing and there are plenty of teams to keep an eye on with underdog odds that could potentially turn into big profits.

The three teams that online sportsbooks have listed as underdogs in Week 3 are the Los Angeles Chargers, the Washington Football Team, and the Los Angeles Rams.

Kansas City Chiefs Vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Los Angeles Chargers in an AFC West showdown where the Chiefs' NFL odds are heavily favored.

Before jumping on the Chiefs to win and cover the spread with ease though, it is worth noting that KC has yet to cover the spread this season and have also gone 1-11-1 against the spread in their last 13 games.

The Chargers have done very well against the spread when facing the Chiefs recently. They have gone 3-1-1 overall ATS in their last five meetings and have gone 4-1-1 ATS in their last six meetings when playing in Kansas City. This matchup should be circled on the calendar as 9 points is a huge margin for the Buffalo Bills. Especially considering they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers who were also outstanding underdogs in Week 1 and won against a Miami Dolphins team that lost their starting quarterback early on in the game.

Here in Week 3, signs are pointing towards the Washington Football Team having an easy cover and potentially win against the Bills. The Washington Football Team has gone 5-0 against the spread in their last five games following a win and has also gone 5-1 ATS in their last six games as an underdog.

Something else to take into consideration is that Washington’s defense is overwhelming against both the run and pass game. Being that the Bills run game is not what some might’ve expected and Stefon Diggs is their only reliable receiver, Washington should not have a problem containing them.

Before quickly betting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win this game, the Los Angeles Rams should not be overlooked. They match up very well with the Buccaneers on both sides of the ball which is why the spread is set so close.

Many are quick to think that this game will be a shootout with both teams putting up over three touchdowns in Week 3, but the Rams defense is not one to mess around with. They have allowed the seventh least points throughout the two opening weeks of the NFL year and they are expected to turn things up even more against the reigning Super Bowl champions. As for the Buccaneers, they have let up over three touchdowns in their first two games.

These two teams also met last season, where the Rams got the better of the Bucs. Now with an upgrade at quarterback in Matthew Stafford, they could be looking at a second straight win over them.
