TAMPA, FL – The Super Bowl is finally set and bettors can now finally begin to put together their betslips for the biggest game of the year.
Following Conference Championship weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will now meet in the big game to decide who is the champion of the 2020 NFL season.
Both of these teams feature high-powered NFL offenses led by legendary quarterbacks: Patrick Mahomes for the Chiefs, and the one and only Tom Brady for the Bucs.
This has led to many expecting the game to be a shootout, even with both teams having strong defenses.
The online sportsbooks for the Super Bowl have just released the individual over/under lines for each team’s points, with the line being rather high for a Super Bowl.
Super Bowl – Total Points O/U – Kansas City Chiefs
- Over 30.0 -120
- Under 30.0 -110
Bookies have listed the Chiefs' points at exactly 30 points, with the over as the slightest of favorites at -120 to -110. The same is true for the Bucs, with the total coming in at 27 points.
Super Bowl – Total Points O/U – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Over 27.0 -120
- Under 27.0 -110
Both the Chiefs and Bucs ranked in the top six in scoring offenses this past season. The Chiefs made their way back to their second straight Super Bowl by scoring 29.6 points per game, while the Bucs put together a dynamic offense under Brady to the tune of 30.8 points per game.
Both teams have strong defenses, with the Bucs ranking eighth in the league with total points allowed at 355, and the Chiefs coming in at 11th with 362 points allowed.
With the Super Bowl betting sites putting the total points at 57, there is certainly a massive amount of offense that is expected in this game.

57 points seem like a lot, but in reality, it would only be the third-highest scoring Super Bowl of the last five years.
In 2018, the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles combined for 74 points, and in 2017, the Atlanta Falcons and Patriots combined for 62 points.
Brady was a participant in both those games, but bettors can expect a little more firepower from the Chiefs than the likes of Nick Foles.
There is some info to base this game off of, with the Bucs and Chiefs having previously played this season back in November. That game ended in a 27-24 Chiefs victory, in what was easily one of the best games of the season.
Now, both teams will try to control their opponents' offense once again, without either side necessarily looking forward to the challenge.
“I mean, you go back and you look at the game and what matchups you had,” said Bruce Arians, Bucs head coach. “I’m not really excited playing Tyreek Hill and Kelce and Mahomes. That’s a formidable challenge, but our guys will be up for it.”
Only time will tell if either side is actually ready up to the task in the biggest game of the year.
