LOUISVILLE, Ky. – As the Kentucky Derby is just days away, some unfortunate news has come out of one of the top horses in the race.

Art Collector has dropped out of the race. The horse is dealing with a foot injury that he acquired during training but on the brighter side, he is expected to be back in time for the Preakness.

Online sportsbooks had Art Collector with the second shortest odds at +500 to win right behind Tiz The Law.

With Art Collector’s injury, the odds have since changed but Tiz The Law has remained the favorite.

Before dropping out, Art Collector was expected to give Tiz The Law a run for his money, as he had four first-place wins in four races thus far in 2020 and was looking to pull off the upset for a fifth win.
