- Other top golfers on the oddsboard include Tony Finau (+1200), Scottie Scheffler (+1400), Hideki Matsuyama (+1800), Matt Kuchar (+4000), Rickie Fowler (+5000), and Phil Mickelson (+6600).
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The PGA Tour keeps the competition going in Texas this week with the Valero Texas Open from TPC San Antonio.
Many of the top players will be taking the week off following a tough round at the Dell Match Play event last weekend, as well as resting in preparation for the upcoming Masters.
Still, there are plenty of top golfers in the field this week. The Valero Texas Open presents the final opportunity for some Tour members to qualify for the Masters, so the path the victory will be tough.
Bettors can find full odds for the tournament on the major online sportsbook, where former Texas Longhorn Jordan Spieth holds the shortest odds to win the tournament.

A huge field this week presents ample betting opportunities throughout the oddsboard.
With the only big name on the board being Spieth, there is a huge chance for golf bettors to cash in on some of the lesser-known names on the Tour looking to find a win this weekend.
Still, Spieth is available at a decent price even atop the board at +1000, coming in at even odds for a Top 10 finish. While Spieth has had his struggles well documented through the years, he has been striking the ball with great accuracy in recent weeks.
Spieth made it to the Round of 16 in the Dell Match Play event, and will be familiar with this weekend’s course due to his Texas roots.
Another name to watch from the top group is fellow Longhorn-alumni Scottie Scheffler. Scheffler comes in at +1400 to win outright, with +130 for a Top 10 finish.
Scheffler was the runner-up in the Dell Match Play event, making it all the way to the championship match where he lost a hard-fought battle against Billy Horschel.
He displayed a tremendous amount of skill and control throughout the tournament, especially with his putting, but ultimately had a run of bad luck in the windy conditions Sunday.
Fist pump worthy. 🎉

Out of the top groups, those two, and 2019 winner Corey Connors are the names to watch. Connors is sitting at an appetizing +2000 and +160 for a Top 10 finish.
Connors has been electric so far in 2021, highlighted by his Sunday race up the leaderboard at TPC Sawgrass where he posted a final round 66. His win in the last Texas Open should be enough to at least have bettors take him in a top placement finish.
In terms of longshots, there are tons of names that could make some noise this weekend.
Doug Ghim is a name to watch this weekend, with a valuable price of +6600 and +225 for a Top 20 finish.
Ghim burst onto the scene at the Players Championship, shooting one of the best rounds of the weekend to earn a spot next to eventual winner Justin Thomas in the penultimate group.
While he more or less fell apart on Sunday, there is tons to like about his game, including the fact that he is another former Texas Longhorn with familiarity on this course.
Sitting a bit further down at +8000 is Joel Dahmen. Those familiar to betting on the PGA Tour know how important confidence can be heading into a tournament, and Dahmen has that in droves after winning his first PGA Tour event last week in Punta Cana.
While that field wasn’t the best the game has to offer, the win is huge for Dahmen, who is also available for +240 for a Top 20 finish.
Altogether, there are plenty of opportunities to cash in this weekend in Texas.
