Notably, sports betting sites don’t have a full field listed for the event but have Rupp as a sizable underdog against the 2016 marathon champion, Eliud Kipchoge. These odds are sure to change as the field is finalized and sportsbooks list all of the Olympic betting options, but don’t expect to see Kipchoge receive much longer odds than what’s already listed.
The men’s marathon is expected to take place on August 8, two weeks after the Olympics Opening Ceremony date. After that, marathon betting fans can watch Rupp head the Bank of America Chicago Marathon in early October.
