JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Disgruntled cornerback Jalen Ramsey has requested a trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ramsey will suit up for the Jaguars in their Thursday night game against the Tennessee Titans.
This may likely be the last time we see Jalen Ramsey in a Jaguars uniform. He’s arguably one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL so there is no shortage of teams willing to add him on their roster. Only time will tell where Ramsey will end up.
Ramsey is in line for a major payday, as his rookie contract is set to expire. Whichever team he does get traded to will have to back up the brinks truck if they want to keep Ramsey in town. So far this season Ramsey has compiled a stat line of nine tackles and one pass defended.
Online sportsbooks in the US have released odds on where Ramsey could end up at the end of this fiasco. Per Bovada, the odds on a Jalen Ramsey trade include:

If Ramsey does end up with the Chiefs, he will certainly provide them with a premier lockdown corner that they haven’t had in quite some time. Ramsey would also take a lot of pressure off Kansas City safety Tyrann Mathieu – one of the best playmaking safeties in the NFL. He’d certainly make the Chiefs more of a favorite to win the Super Bowl than before his arrival.
The Raiders trading for Ramsey also makes sense as they have a desperate need at cornerback and have quite a bit of cap space to sign another player long term.
Since entering the league Jalen Ramsey has amassed 202 tackles, nine interceptions, and has been selected to the Pro Bowl in two out of his first three seasons. We’ll have to wait and see where Ramsey ends up but the answer should be presented sooner rather than later.
