- Kyler Murray has taken the spot as the MVP favorite with +500 odds.
- Micah Parsons is once again the betting favorite to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
- Dak Prescott has extended his lead in the Comeback Player of the Year race.
LAS VEGAS – Kyler Murray is now the betting favorite to win NFL MVP while Micah Parsons also reclaimed his spot atop the Defensive Rookie of the Year leaderboard. Plus, Dak Prescott extends his lead to win an award as well.
Kyler Murray Returns As MVP Favorite, Stafford Falls
The Arizona Cardinals are the last remaining undefeated team in the NFL and since Kyler Murray has done most of the heavy lifting in getting the team to this point, online sportsbooks have labeled him as the betting favorite to win MVP.
2021-2022 NLF MVP Odds
- Kyler Murray +500
- Patrick Mahomes +600
- Josh Allen +650
- Tom Brady +800
- Justin Herbert +850
- Aaron Rodgers +900
- Dak Prescott +1000
- Matthew Stafford +1200
- Russell Wilson +2200
- Derek Carr +2500
- Lamar Jackson +2500
Murray was +800 last week but after beating Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams has moved atop the board as the favorite. Murray is third in passing yards and fourth in touchdowns this season.
Stafford, who was the favorite a week ago, has dropped to +1200 despite having just 51 fewer yards than Murray and two more touchdowns. NFL betting sites may be counting Stafford out too quickly.
One player to fade may be Justin Herbert who saw his odds move from +1400 to +850 this week. While he’s put together a solid season, he’s currently eighth in passing yards, 10th in completion percentage, and 14th in passer rating. Wait until his odds drop a bit.
Defensive Rookie Of The Year: Micah Parsons Reclaims Shortest Odds
Micah Parsons opened the season as the betting favorite to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year award but saw Patrick Surtain II overtake him. Now, Parsons is back on top as the favorite with sportsbooks.

NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year
- Micah Parsons +400
- Patrick Surtan II +500
- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah +800
- Asante Samuel Jr. +1000
- Jamin Davis +1000
- Jayson Oweh +1200
Parsons was always in a good position to win this award as he has the most publicity on him for being a member of the Dallas Cowboys. Parsons now has three straight games with a sack and seems to be excelling as a defensive end.
If looking for a sleeper, Asante Samuel Jr. may be the guy for gamblers. He tied for third in the NFL with two interceptions and is tied for fifth with five defended passes. He outranks Surtain II in both categories and yet is behind him on the odds board.
Dak Prescott Starting To Run Away With Comeback Player Of The Year
Everyone remembers Dak Prescott’s gruesome injury from last season. Watching him play this season it’d be tough to know he was injured at all. Prescott has piled up 1,066 yards and 10 touchdowns and is now running away as the Comeback Player of the Year award betting line favorite.
The NFL Comeback Player of the Year
- Dak Prescott -175
- Joe Burrow +800
- Sam Darnold +800
- Jameis Winston +1200
- Christian McCaffrey +1500
It doesn’t hurt that his team is 3-1 either. Prescott also has the benefit of being the quarterback for “America’s team” and consistently being in the national spotlight. Joe Burrow is unlikely to be able to match the output and success of Prescott while Sam Darnold isn’t even coming back from an injury, just the New York Jets.
It’s always been Prescott’s award to lose and he’s done nothing but prove he’s deserving of it so far this season.
