- The 2020 NFL draft starts on Thursday, April 23rd, 2020.
- Joe Burrow and Chase Young are heavy favorites to be the first players off the board for offense and defense respectively.
- Jeff Okudah has +130 odds to be the third overall pick, edging out Tua Tagovailoa at +325.
LAS VEGAS - The NFL Draft is coming up, with the first round starting on Thursday, April 23rd, 2020.
Most NFL bettors expect the first two players off the board to be LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and Ohio State defensive end Chase Young, but what about the ones that come after those two?
The draft is chock full of blue chip studs, and there are a lot of different odds on who will be the next players off of the big board.
Third Overall Pick Odds
3rd Overall Pick
- Jeffrey Okudah +130
- Tua Tagovaiola +325
- Field +400
- Derrick Brown +800
- Isaiah Simmons +800
- Chase Young +900
Jeff Okudah leads this category - a talented cornerback who fits many systems in the league. He is followed by Alabama star Tua Tagovailoa, who suffered a severe hip injury last season.
The field is the next most likely candidate - someone other than the listed players. This draft is very unique, being held virtually instead of in person, and there might be some surprises on the way due to that.
After that, Derrick Brown and Isaiah Simmons clock in with +800 odds, while Chase Young has +900 odds to still remain on the board for the third pick.
Second QB Drafted Odds
2nd QB Drafted
- Justin Herbert -130
- Tua Tagovaiola -115
- Jordan Love +2800
- Field +3300
The odds for the second quarterback to come off the board are a two-man race, functionally, between Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert. Jordan Love has some extremely long odds at +2800, while the field clocks in with +3300 odds.
Herbert is a mild favorite, with -130 odds compared to Tagovailoa’s -115 odds. Tua was the better player in college, and before the injury was looked at like a number one overall pick, but Herbert fits a lot of ideas of what a pro quarterback looks like.

This is a compelling race, and sports bettors should check this one out.
Second Defensive Player Drafted
Given the status of Chase Young (-7500 to be the first defensive player off the board), people have started asking about who the second one will be. Some sportsbooks already have odds on it.
2nd Defensive Player Drafted
- Jeff Okudah -190
- Isaiah Simmons +140
- Derrick Brown +1200
- Chase Young +2500
- Javon Kinlaw +3500
- K'Lavon Chaisson +4000
- CJ Henderson +6000
Okudah is once again favored, this time over the whole field, with -190 odds. He is trailed by Isaiah Simmons at +140 - the only person who is even close.
Second Offensive Player Drafted
2nd Offensive Player Drafted
- Jedrick Wills Jr. +200
- Tua Tagovailoa +235
- Tristan Wirfs +300
- Justin Herbert +500
- Mekhi Becton +900
- Andrew Thomas +1400
Amazingly, after all the hubbub about Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert, neither of them are the favorite to be the second offensive player off the board. That honor belongs to Tua’s teammate, Jedrick Wills, an incredibly talented offensive lineman.
Tagovailoa trails Wills slightly, with Tristan Wirfs not far behind. Herbert clocks in with +500 odds, which is interesting considering he slightly edges Tua for being the second quarterback picked, but is significantly below him in this category.
Overall, there is a lot of uncertainty in this year’s NFL draft, especially outside of the first offensive player off the board and the first defensive player off the board.
Uncertainty can be good for sports bettors - it allows for big profits, but it can also allow for big failures, so bettors would be well advised to do their research for the 2020 NFL Draft.
