BOSTON — The NBA coaching circle has been turned upside down in the last few weeks as there have been plenty of coaching positions open up and there are tons of names that are linked to different teams.

Sitting with the favored NBA odds to land the Celtics coaching job are both Chauncey Billups and Sam Cassell.

Billups is their ideal candidate as he was one of the top point guards in the league at one point with a high basketball IQ. Billups actually was drafted to the Celtics back in the 1997 NBA Draft.

One name that has also been thrown around is the current Brooklyn Nets assistant coach, Ime Udoka. Udoka comes from the long list of Greg Popovich coaching prodigies and has certainly been one of the most impressive.

He served as a crucial part of the 76ers development process which has turned them into one of the league's elite defensive teams and is now gaining experience coaching a star-studded team in the Brooklyn Nets. Given his coaching experience and his mentors, bettors should be taking his odds seriously as he will be a head coach fairly soon.
