CHICAGO – The NBA’s All-Star Weekend brings with it many events, and each of these events carries with it a betting opportunity. Focused on the possible betting opportunities in the NBA’s All Star Weekend Skills Challenge, this competition is designed to focus on the skills not tested by the Dunk Contest and the Three-Point Contest.

The format of the Skills Challenge is such that it tests multiple skills in the same event. The challenge focuses on dribbling, passing, three-point shooting, and close-range shooting.

Basically, think of the challenge like an obstacle course. The first thing that a competitor has to do is test their dribbling skill by dribbling the ball around several obstacles. After this is completed, the competitor must then make a pass through an upright hoop, a difficult exercise and a good test of precision passing skills.

Then, they dribble back down the court for a layup and finally dribble all the way back again for a three-pointer from the top of the key.

The Skills Challenge Odds have been released by US online sportsbooks and some surprises and longshots can be bet on.
