NASCAR Double Raceday Odds: Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 250 And Federated Auto Parts 400

RICHMOND, Va. — This Saturday NASCAR bettors will have a lot of opportunities to get in on the betting actions as there will be a doubleheader of races. The Xfinity Series will run the Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 250 and the Cup Series will run at 2 p.m. EST while the Federated Auto Parts 400 will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST. Both races will be held at the Historic Richmond Raceway.

The second NASCAR race on tap for this weekend is the Federated Auto Parts 400. The starting grid for this race will have Kevin Harvick sitting at the pole position followed by Joey Logano, Austin Dillion, Alex Bowman, and William Byron. Out of the drivers with a top-five starting position expect Harvick to be the only one that finishes the race in the first five spots.

Last year’s Federated Auto Parts 400 champion Martin Truex Jr., is looking to become the first driver to win this event in consecutive years since Denny Hamlin did it in 2009 and 2010. He’s the favorite at NASCAR betting sites to take victory lane this year with +350 odds.

Truex Jr. will have to hold off quite a few past winner of this race to repeat as Jimmie Johnson has won this race twice in his career, Brad Keselowski is the 2014 champion, Denny Hamlin has recorded three career victories at this event, while Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch have also won this race. That’s an experienced field meaning there are plenty of viable long shot betting options to choose from.

Winner: Toyota (+125). Toyota has won the last two Federated Auto Parts 400 and although they don’t have the shortest odds this year to win the +125 odds are too good to pass up on. Joe Gibbs Racing with Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. both will be in the hunt with Toyota cars and while Ford might seem like the best option, history tells us a Toyota car will be parked in victory lane this Saturday. Ford’s odds do have a shot as Kevin Harvick will start at the pole but if he can’t stay at the front of the pack for most of this race there won’t be a good chance any car other than a Toyota wins.

Group Betting at the Federated Auto Parts 400

Winner: Joey Logano +225. Logano will start this race with better positioning than anyone in his group and that alone should give him the edge over Brad Keselowski. This will be a tightly contested race between these two who are just one point apart in the Cup Series Standings. Keselowski has recorded more wins and top-five finishes than Logano this year. However, Logano has been the better driver as of late and bettors should ride his hot wheels to a finish over Keselowski at Richmond Raceway this weekend.
