ORLANDO, Fla. - Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley will be returning to the floor for Game 3 of the playoff series against the Denver Nuggets, according to ESPN NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski.

Conley has been in quarantine due to leaving the NBA bubble in order to attend the birth of his son.

The NBA mandates a quarantine upon returning to the bubble in order to keep the rest of the players safe from COVID-19. Conley’s return could be a boost to the Jazz, who have managed to scrape to a 1-1 record in the series against the powerful Nuggets behind excellent performances from Donovan Mitchell.

Conley, an offseason acquisition, was expected to be the missing piece that the Jazz needed but struggled at times during the regular season.

Despite his announced return, the odds for Friday’s matchup between the Jazz and the Nuggets have remained steady on major online sportsbooks.

It remains to be seen whether or not the return of Conley affects the odds for the matchup itself, but it could also affect the Over/Under line (219 points).

Conley averaged 14.4 points per game for the Jazz to go along with 4.4 assists and 37.5% three-point shooting. He was notably worse for the Jazz than he was for his previous team, the Memphis Grizzlies, but he could still be a big factor in this series.
