Miami Dolphins Favored In Both Tua, Herbert NFL Draft Odds

• NFL Mock Drafts have Justin Herbert and Tua Tagovailoa projected to be drafted in the top six picks.
• Both Tagovailoa (-120) and Herbert (+135) are seeing the Miami Dolphins as the team favored to select them.
• Longshot odds on a team trading up or beating the Dolphins to the punch would payout rewardingly.

MIAMI – With the NFL Draft preparing to go on as scheduled, the top quarterbacks are being given odds on where they will land. Joe Burrow is the presumed overall number 1 pick, so betting odds have been removed regarding the Heisman winner’s drafting team.

However, odds for Justin Herbert and Tua Tagovailoa still exist with a breakdown of where they will end up. The online sportsbooks don’t mention their pick number – only where they will end up.

For both players, the favorite team is the Miami Dolphins. Tagovailoa is the presumed favorite in this manner (-120), while Herbert sits slightly lower at +135. However, down the line, NFL bettors can find plenty of action that comes with a rewarding payout, should common NFL mock drafts be shaken up.

Both of these quarterbacks are projected to go in the top 6 with the Dolphins drafting Herbert and the Chargers drafting Tagovailoa.

Jordan Love has seemed to have dropped to the bottom half of the first round (New England Patriots at 23), giving bettors a toss-up between the two aforementioned quarterbacks only.

Where Will Justin Herbert Be Drafted?

Despite the Dolphins being the favorite, don’t look past a team trading with the Detroit Lions or New York Giants to pass up the back-to-back selections from the Dolphins and Chargers.

As news of Teddy Bridgewater coming to the Panthers has been almost solidified and the range of teams having a competent quarterback, a team like the Raiders could make the move. With odds of +1200, taking a chance on this to happen would be worthwhile.

Keep in mind that the Raiders have the 12th and 19th pick (from the Khalil Mack trade two seasons ago), so the opportunity for them to make a splash isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

Where Will Tua Tagovailoa Be Drafted?

If the Dolphins do move on Herbert, this leaves an interesting situation for the Alabama National Champion. The Chargers are the safe play at +350 and should be used as a hedging opportunity for whichever team a bettor selects.

Other mock drafts have Tagovailoa going at number 2 overall to the Washington Redskins (+350) but the possibility of this seems rather farfetched.

Would it be so crazy to think though that the Lions (+1000) don’t let Tagovailoa slide past them at 3? There is no doubt the Lions have had their struggles over the last decade.

Stafford is still young in the NFL era of elder quarterbacks but has only brought the team to a total of three playoff games – all difficult losses that took place in 2012, 2015, and 2017. As Stafford didn’t play 16 games for the first time since his first- and second-year last season, it might not be a bad idea for them to lock down a quarterback that can get them over the hump for the next decade.

Stafford has only won 10 games in a season twice in his career, so parting ways with him could be a slow Band-Aid movement or a quick rip-off sometime in the near or distant future.
