KANSAS CITY – As the waiver wire period heading into Week 9 of the NFL season has come to an end, those fantasy football owners who missed out on their waiver targets can look deep into the free agency pool and still gain talent.

Mecole Hardman
Hardman is a solid free agent wide receiver as he is on arguably the most explosive offense in the league. Right now, for the Kansas City Chiefs, there is no clear cut WR2 being that Sammy Watkins has been dealing with a lingering injury.
With Watkins not on the field, it leaves more opportunity for Hardman to draw targets and make plays. This showed during the Chiefs Week 8 matchup with the New York Jets where Hardman saw a career-high in both targets (9) and receptions (7) as he went for 96 yards and a touchdown which was good for 22.6 fantasy football points.
Tyler Ervin
Some might think that Ervin is a stretch of a pickup as he is easy to overlook, but he could make an immediate impact to fantasy teams that are desperate at the RB spot.
Ervin has shifted into the RB1 slot for the Green Bay Packers being that Aaron Jones is out with a calf injury and both A.J. Dillon and Jamaal Williams were placed on the COVID-19 list.
That leaves Ervin as the RB1 in which he will likely take up all the snaps at RB as the team’s fourth option at running back, Dexter Williams has only seen 5 rush attempts across two years.

Ross Dwelley
For those George Kittle owners that missed out on a waiver wire pickup for his replacement, there should be no fear as his backup, Ross Dwelley is available and could fill in, in any fantasy team.
Dwelley immediately shifts to the TE1 slot here with both Kittle and Jordan Reed on IR. Dwelley is not the worst option here as he has been able to produce when he takes the field.
In his three games this season, he has seen 9 targets for 6 receptions, 70 yards, and a touchdown. These are not horrible numbers for three games and now that he will be taking first-team reps, he will be able to show just how much value he brings to the table.
Something else to note is that with Nick Mullens under center, he could find the end zone more often as his lone touchdown of the season came from Mullens in their Week 8 matchup with the Seahawks.
Randall Cobb
For those looking for immediate help at receiver, Randall Cobb should be added to those rosters.
Cobb has had himself a decent season thus far as he has caught 30 of his 38 targets for 372 yards and 2 touchdowns. In his seven games played this season, Cobb has hit double-digit fantasy points in five of those games which includes his last three games.
He has clearly made his case for the teams WR2. With that said, however, there have been reports of Cobb drawing interest from teams around the league. If Cobb is traded, however, his NFL fantasy football value could boost even more depending on where he ends up.
