- Duke is favored by 7 points over Alabama and Florida is favored by 6.5 points over Texas Tech
- Texas Tech went just 1-4 against ranked teams in the regular season, the only team of the four with a losing record against ranked opponents
SAN FRANCISCO – The Elite Eight tips off Saturday with Florida facing off against Texas Tech at the Chase Center, followed by a matchup between Duke and Alabama in Newark.
Texas Tech vs Florida Game Odds
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Texas Tech | +6.5 (-105) | +230 | O 156.5 (-110) |
Florida | -6.5 (-115) | -280 | U 156.5 (-110) |
Florida is coming off a 16 point win over Maryland, facing arguably the toughest road to the Elite Eight out of any one seed in the field, including a two point victory over the reigning national champions in UConn. Online sportsbooks in the US are confident that they will continue rolling.
Walter Clayton Jr. has garnered the most attention of any player for the Gators and for good reason, scoring 23 points in each of their first two tournament games. He scored just 13 points against Maryland, but impacted the game with his passing and defense.
Fortunately for the Gators, they have no shortage of talent around Clayton, with six players scoring in double figures, led by Will Richard with 15 points.
Starting center Alex Condon did get injured, but returned to the game and should be available for their matchup against Texas Tech.
The Red Raiders narrowly snuck out with a victory over Arkansas, winning 85-83 in overtime. They don’t quite have the same kind of depth as Florida, playing just seven players, but they did have three players score over 20 points.
JT Toppin has been impressive in March, scoring 25 and 20 in each of his last two games. However, he will face a much more difficult challenge than the past few matchups on Saturday, going against the Gators’ stable of four big men.
Texas Tech also has an underwhelming resume of wins, going just 1-4 against ranked teams throughout the regular season.

Take the Gators to cover the spread with confidence. Florida has been battle tested in the rugged SEC and Texas Tech has not done much to inspire confidence in pulling off the upset.
Alabama vs Duke Game Odds
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Alabama | +7.0 (-105) | +250 | O 174.5 (-110) |
Duke | -7.0 (-115) | -300 | U 174.5 (-110) |
The Blue Devils have been far and away the most impressive team throughout the tournament, winning each of their first two games by 44 and 23, respectively. March Madness sportsbooks online have no doubt that Duke will continue their dominance.
Coming off a 100-93 win against Arizona, Duke looks to continue rolling. Cooper Flagg has lived up to the hype in March, dropping 30 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, and a steal against the Wildcats.
According to Kenpom, Duke has the most efficient offense in the country, as well as the fifth most efficient defense, the only team ranking top five on both ends of the court.
Alabama has been impressive through three games, with their most recent performance being the best, beating BYU 113-88. They dropped an NCAA Tournament record 25 three pointers.
After a rough game against Saint Mary’s, Mark Sears recorded 34 points and 8 assists, shooting 10-16 from downtown. The senior guard had struggled in his last five games, scoring over 20 points just one time, but looks to pick up where he left off in the BYU game against Duke.
Alabama’s defense has been a question mark, due to their frantic pace of play, and Duke will look to take advantage. Duke moneyline is a lock, and the 7-point spread is a good looking investment if you’re feeling spicy.
