- Tiger Woods is +300 to score a 67 or less in the second round of the BMW Championship.
- Novak Djokovic has -600 odds to defeat Roberto Batista Agut.
- Lyon are -450 favorites over Dijon in the second matchday of Ligue 1’s 2020-2021 season.
LAS VEGAS - The Daily Sports Preview is back, and with it, some of the most interesting sports in the world!
First, the Preview takes a look at the PGA Tour’s BMW Championship, with an eye towards some special bets.
Then, the Preview examines the semifinals of ATP Cincinnati’s tournament. Finally, France’s Ligue 1 reopens today after a shortened offseason and brings soccer betting to new heights.
There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get started!
BMW Championship Betting
The BMW Championship is a fairly prestigious event on the PGA Tour, as are most PGA Tour events. The Championship comes from Olympia Fields Golf Course, in Illinois, and is run by the Western Golf Association.
When it comes to betting on the BMW Championship, there are a lot of different ways to do it, from three ball betting to futures betting.
Today, however, the Preview is going to focus on some off the wall specials bets.
BMW Championship Props
- R McIlroy, H Matsuyama & D Johnson All 68 Or Less In Rd 2 +1400
- R McIlroy, H Matsuyama & D Johnson All 69 Or Less In Rd 2 +700
These are interesting group bets - each of them groups Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, and Dustin Johnson together, and asks the bettor to wager on all of them simultaneously, a bit like a parlay.
R McIlroy To Score 66 Or Less In Rd 2 +500
This bet limits the wager to McIlroy, but it frankly asks a lot of him - McIlroy is great, but nobody is consistently putting up a 66 on this course. That said, McIlroy is one of the very best in the world, and +500 is not bad as far as the odds go.
T Woods To Score 67 Or Less In Rd 2 +300
This is a similar bet to the previous one, but focuses on Tiger Woods instead of Rory McIlroy, and provides a bit of a cushion to woods in the form of demanding a 67 or less instead of a 66 or less.
However, Woods is generally regarded as worse than McIlroy at this point in his career, although he can still play at a top level. Golf bettors have a lot of interesting wagers they can place on the BMW Championship as round two rolls on!
ATP Cincinnati Betting
ATP Cincinnati continues Friday with some very interesting semifinals matchups.
In the first semifinal, Stefanos Tsitsipas faces off against Milos Raonic, and in the second semifinal, Novak Djokovic looks to take down Roberto Batista-Agut. The Preview will examine both of these matchups.
Semifinal 1 - Tsitsipas vs. Raonic
- Tsitsipas -190
- Raonic +155
Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the very best players in the world. He is 22 years old, ranked 6th in the world, and seems like a clear pick to be a future star.
Milos Raonic is not a pushover, however. The 29-year-old Canadian pro is ranked 30th in the world, and won’t be an easy out, even for someone as talented as Tsitsipas.

Tsitsipas is still a major favorite here, however, and is favored by two games on the spread, although there is some shading towards Raonic +2, which has -130 odds.
In the other semifinal today, Novak Djokovic needs no introduction. The current world number one player, one of the trio of dominance that has kept the next generation waiting for a decade.
Djokovic’s very presence within a tournament can and does drastically alter the tennis betting odds of anyone else winning it. He can be outright impossible to defeat and he’s been on a run through this tournament as well as this year. That run now comes up against Roberto Batista Agut, ranked 12th in the world.
Semifinal 2 - Djokovic vs. Batista Agut
- Djokovic -600
- Batista Agut +425
This is a genuine competition, although Djokovic, as always, is significantly favored against anyone not named Nadal at this point in his career.
Ligue 1 Odds
Ligue 1 is back for the second matchday of the 2020-2021 season!
In one of today’s best matchups, Lyon faces off against Dijon, after a brilliant performance in the Champions League. In fact, the profile of the whole league was likely raised by both Lyon, who defeated Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain, who reached the Champions League Final.
Ligue 1 has long been regarded as the weakest of the five major leagues, due to a relatively low UEFA coefficient, and the fact that Paris Saint-Germain seemingly win it with no trouble every year.
With Lyon’s performance against Manchester City and PSG finally getting over its Champions League jitters and making it to the Final, the future could be bright for Ligue 1. Lyon especially have a lot of weight on their shoulders to prove that they are not a fluke and that Ligue 1 can produce multiple quality teams.
Today, they face off against Dijon, in a matchup that they should win.
Lyon vs. Dijon
- Lyon -450
- Dijon +1200
- Draw +550
Dijon finished the 2019-2020 season in 16th place in Ligue 1, and somehow managed a draw in all of their last three matches of the season.
This season, they’re 0-1 so far - technically stretching that winless streak to five, as they lost the match before the three draws. Lyon, meanwhile, finished seventh in Ligue 1 last season, although their Champions League performance overshadows their domestic accomplishments.
They were far from dominant domestically, however, and that is absolutely worth noting.
Lyon are big favorites here, as they should be, but soccer bettors could reasonably worry that the Manchester City win has raised their profile unsustainably.
It remains to be seen what will happen, but for now, analyzing Lyon’s odds is a fascinating prospect.
