Premier Lacrosse League Betting

Many people might not be familiar with professional lacrosse, or, indeed, know it exists at all. They can be forgiven for this, however, as the Premier Lacrosse League is a relatively new competition.

The first season of the league happened in the summer of 2019 and consisted of six teams total. One team was added to the league in the offseason, making this 2020 season a seven-team affair.

Today’s lacrosse match features that new team, the Waterdogs Lacrosse Club, as they face off against the Atlas Lacrosse Club

As might be expected, Atlas are favored.

The moneyline puts Waterdogs as a +140 underdog, while Atlas are a -170 favorite on the moneyline odds.

The spread of 1.5 is enough to swing the match toward Waterdogs, however. At +1.5, they have -145 odds. Meanwhile, when Atlas are on the other end of that spread, at -1.5, they have +115 odds.

One thing worth noting with a spread like this is that wagering on the game does include overtime. In the league’s overtime rules, the first goal scored will win the game - so keep that in mind when considering the spread.

MLB Betting

Baseball is back in America, and the regular season is much more high stakes this time around. There will only be 60 games in the entire regular season, as well as an expanded 16 team postseason.

This means that there will be an extra focus on each individual game, both from the teams playing in it and the bettors wagering on it.

Today’s featured matchup is between the Los Angeles Angels and the Oakland A’s, and before the odds come into question, let’s take a look at the pitchers.

Angels vs. A’s Starting Pitchers

Ohtani is making his first start as a pitcher this season. He actually picked up an MLB first in a previous game - he was the first player to start extra innings on second base, in accordance with the new MLB rule.

Let’s take a look at the moneyline odds:

The teams have split the first two games in the series, with the A’s taking the first game and the Angels taking the second.

The online sportsbooks seem to think that the Angels are a mild favorite to win this one, however, giving them -130 odds with Ohtani taking the mounds.

The A’s are not far behind, however, with +110 odds to win this matchup. Baseball bettors should be on the lookout for this one.

Overwatch League Betting

In the world of esports, there are few competitions bigger than the Overwatch League. The OWL is one of the biggest events in esports betting as well.

There are five separate matches that are set to take place today in OWL play, and the Preview is going to look at the one with the closest odds - the most competitive match.

That match is between the Chengdu Hunters and the Hangzhou Spark, ranked 16th and 10th in the league, respectively.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Spark are favored in this match. They are, after all, ranked seven places above Chengdu, and have a record of 8-10, which is relatively respectable.

Chengdu, on the other hand, has a record of 6-14 going into this match.

On the spread, it seems that spotting Chengdu 1.5 is enough to make the matchup practically even. Chengdu +1.5 has -115 odds, while Hangzhou -1.5 will payout at -120 odds.

This leaves esports bettors with a couple of interesting betting paths. They could wager on the moneyline and take safer plays with the favorite, or they could get a bit riskier and choose to wager on the spread and look to make close to even money back.
