Bundesliga Betting

The Bundesliga is back and in full swing!

Today, there are five matches set to be played in the top flight German competition, but one of these matches is by far the most interesting.

Today’s highlighted match is between RB Leipzig and Hertha Berlin, a match that pits east against west, and new against old.

Leipzig, no matter what one thinks of the controversial way in which they accomplished it, has become one of the top teams in the Bundesliga in a very short time.

Hertha Berlin, for their part, have been around for a very long time, and in the top division for a lot of that time.

That said, at this point in the history of the two clubs, the advantage surely goes to Leipzig when one considers only on field performance.

The major online sportsbooks seem to agree - Leipzig is a 1.5 goal favorite in today’s match, and are even shaded on that line - Leipzig -1.5 is -125.

Meanwhile, Hertha +1.5 is +105.

On the moneyline, Leipzig has -335 odds to win the match, while Hertha is +800 and a draw is +475 – dramatically more likely than a Hertha win.

The Over/Under line for goals in the match is set at 3.5 goals, which may sound low. However, 3.5 goals is the highest Over/Under line of the five Bundesliga matches that are taking place today.

That said, there is some shading towards the Under here - Under 3.5 has -120 odds, while Over 3.5 has +100 odds.

Overall, this should be an interesting game from multiple points of view. This is a clash of modernity against tradition, and modernity appears to have the edge.

NASCAR Alsco Uniforms 500 Betting

The Alsco Uniforms 500 highlights today’s NASCAR betting opportunities and brings a lot to the table as far as betting goes.

First, there are bets available on the eventual winner of the race. Here’s what the top ten looks like right now, in terms of odds at the sportsbooks, along with their car numbers.

There are a few racers that are crowding around the front of the pack, it seems. Martin Truex Jr. leads them all at +450 but is followed closely by Chase Elliot, Alex Bowman and Kyle Busch.

The next tier of competitors is Kevin Harvick at +900, Jimmie Johnson and Joey Logano at +1000, Brad Keselowski at +1100, and Willam Byron at +1200.

Denny Hamlin brings up the rear of the top ten with +1400 odds.

However, there are also some interesting prop bets available on the race. Take a look at this:

The odds for total cautions on the day have an Over/Under line of 9.5. There are evenly matched odds on either side of this bet, with both the Over and the Under having -115 odds.

This bet allows NASCAR bettors to wager on who the winning car manufacturer will be.

Interestingly, when looking at the top tier of competitors, Truex and Busch use Toyotas, while Elliott and Bowman drive Chevrolets. Despite this, all three main manufacturers have the same +165 odds, meaning this could be a decent betting opportunity.

Tennis Exhibition Betting

There are several interesting matches to be played in the tennis Exhibition Series today, with eight matches on the table to satiate all but the most desperate tennis bettors.

Many of these exhibition matches feature players who are new to the major tennis tours, or are fresh out of college.

Two of these matches feature Kyle Seelig, a 22-year-old player from the United States, who has a ranking of 985 in the world but is a heavy favorite in both of his matches.

His first match is against Brandon Perez, and sees Seelig as a -900 favorite, while Perez clocks in with +550 odds.

Perez is even younger than Seelig, only 20 years old, and is ranked far lower, at 1706.

Seelig’s second match is against Jakub Wojcik, and features some interesting odds, especially when compared to the first match.

In the second match, Seelig is once again a heavy favorite, with -935 odds, while Wojcik clocks in with -595 odds.

Wojcik is currently unranked according to the ATP’s website, which might inform bettors as to why Seelig is so favored in this match.

No matter the reasons, Seelig is involved in two of the matches with the most lopsided lines today, and that is an interesting occurrence in itself.
