Then, the Phoenix Suns look to take first place in the Western Conference away from the Utah Jazz. Finally, the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Pittsburgh Pirates.
There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get started!
Kentucky Oaks Betting
While many horse race bettors will be preparing for the Kentucky Derby, the Kentucky Oaks will draw plenty of eyes as well.
The Oaks is a famous horse race in its own right, and 2021’s edition of the race promises some solid horse race betting action.
Kentucky Oaks Betting Odds
- 1. Pauline's Pearl +2000
- 2. Maracuja +3300
- 3. Clairiere +700
- 4. Crazy Beautiful +1000
- 5. Pass The Champagne +1000
- 6. Travel Column +325
- 8. Moraz +4000
- 9. Coach +4000
- 10. Malathaat +275
- 11. Will's Secret +2800
- 12. Search Results +600
- 13. Competitive Speed +5500
- 14. Millefeuille +2000
Two horses dominate the top end of the betting odds boards, Malathaat at +275 and Travel Column at +325.
The race seems neck and neck between those two horses, with Malathaat slightly edging out Travel Column. After those two are Search Results and Clairiere at +600 and +700 respectively. These two horses are respectable contenders, although not at the top echelon.
Crazy Beautiful and Pass the Champagne clock in with +1000 odds, and both of them are reasonable choices to win this race, although unlikely.
From there, the odds spiral downward, with the darkest horses in the competition being Competitive Speed, Moraz and Coach, all of whom have +4000 odds or longer.
Horse race betting fans can catch the Kentucky Oaks at 5:51 p.m. EST on NBCSN, with the broadcast starting at 12:00 p.m. for all the other races.
Basketball Betting
The Phoenix Suns have a shot to take first place in the Western Conference away from the Utah Jazz just before the playoffs.
This could end up seriously mattering, depending on where the Los Angeles Lakers enter the bracket. The Suns and the Jazz have been two of the biggest surprises this season, and this battle for the first seed could be the culmination of their regular season runs.
Utah Jazz vs. Phoenix Suns Moneyline
- Utah Jazz +160
- Phoenix Suns -180
The Suns are legitimately favored to take the win in this clash of the titans atop the Western Conference standings.
Of course, much of this is to do with who the Jazz will be without - Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley won’t be playing in this game.

With home court advantage, and a 24-9 home record, they have every reason to be able to take this win.
Utah Jazz vs. Phoenix Suns Spread
- Utah Jazz +4.5
- Phoenix Suns -4.5
Both of these teams have been excellent against the spread, as neither were expected to be this good over the course of the season.
The Jazz are 36-26 against the spread, while the Suns are 38-23-1 against the spread - both of them are worth commending. In the context of choosing one of these teams to bet on at the online sportsbooks, however, it’s difficult, as both have exceeded expectations.
However, the Jazz are 16-16 against the spread on the road, while the Suns are 21-12 against the spread at home. In other words, despite this matchup seemingly favoring the Suns to begin with, they could even cover the spread.
NBA betting fans can catch this matchup at 10:00 p.m. EST on NBA League Pass.
MLB Betting
The St. Louis Cardinals face off against the Pittsburgh Pirates as both teams look to struggle out of playing .500-ish baseball.
The Cards are 13-12, and playing on the road in this matchup, while the Pirates are 12-12, which is somewhat exceeding expectations for them this season.
This matchup is remarkably even - and it probably should be, given that neither of these teams has truly separated themselves from any other team in baseball.
St. Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates Moneyline
- St. Louis Cardinals -106
- Pittsburgh Pirates -114
The matchup swings in the -110 on both sides range. But, the Pirates are actually favored in this game. Playing at home seems to help that a bit, even though the Pirates only have a 5-4 overall record when playing at home.
St. Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates Run Line
- St. Louis Cardinals -1.5 (+165)
- Pittsburgh Pirates +1.5 (-190)
Intriguingly, the Pirates are receiving the handicap on the run line, despite being favored on the live moneyline. This likely means that the Pirates opened as slight underdogs, but the lines then moved in their direction.
The Cardinals are an intriguing play on the run line, as they have a 16-9 run line record, including an 8-4 run line record on the road. The Pirates, on the other hand, are 12-12 on the run line overall, and 4-5 on the run line at home.
MLB betting enthusiasts will be able to watch this game on MLB Extra Innings and local broadcasters.
