- Logan Paul is set to face off against Floyd Mayweather in February.
- The Western Conference Finals of the MLS see the Seattle Sounders with -155 odds to win.
- Mac Jones of Alabama has -175 odds to win the Heisman Trophy.
LAS VEGAS - It’s Monday morning, which means it’s time for the Daily Sports Betting Preview!
To start off with, Logan Paul agreed to fight against Floyd Mayweather, and we take a look at early odds.
Then, the MLS Western Conference Finals are set between Minnesota United and the Seattle Sounders. Finally, the race for the Heisman Trophy is heating up, and the two main competitors will face off in a couple weeks.
Let’s get started!
Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather
In news that set social media alight, Floyd Mayweather, one of the best boxers of all time, agreed to fight Logan Paul, a Youtuber.
Paul, along with his brother Jake and several other YouTubers, has been participating in boxing matches for a few years now.
Most recently, Jake Paul faced off against Nate Robinson on the Tyson vs. Jones card. Now, older brother Logan is going to get a shot at one of the best to ever do it.
Floyd Mayweather is as good as good gets, with an undefeated record that has spanned decades.
There aren’t odds on the fight just yet - and when they come out, they’re expected to be heavily in Mayweather’s favor.
That said, there are some props on the boxing sportsbooks already.
First to Bleed
- Logan Paul -450
- Floyd Mayweather +275
Logan Paul looks set to be the first to bleed in this matchup, a reflection of how defensive Floyd is as a boxer and how lopsided the matchup is.
Floyd isn’t exactly a guy who draws blood a lot, but the idea of him taking enough punishment to get bloodied by Logan Paul feels a bit preposterous.
Will Logan Paul be Knocked Down?
- Yes -200
- No +150
This prop is more interesting than it should be. The obvious skill differential would imply that Paul gets knocked down, but Mayweather as a boxer is built to defend and play it slowly.
This makes the bet a bit harder to wager on, but these odds are definitely going to be better than betting on Mayweather straight up.
Overall, the thought line here is that Mayweather, while obviously better than Logan Paul, is a defensive boxer who is currently 43 years old, with a birthday in February.
That said - he’s still Floyd Mayweather.
MLS Western Conference Finals
The MLS Finals are set to go, with Minnesota United facing off against the Seattle Sounders.
The Sounders are the favorites in the matchup, while Minnesota take up the role of plucky underdogs.
Seattle Sounders vs. Minnesota United
- Seattle Sounders -155
- Minnesota United +385
- Draw +305
Seattle is favored significantly in the matchup, even on the three way moneyline.
Whenever a team is an odds on favorite on the three way moneyline, it’s a safe bet that the no draw line will be even more lopsided.
Seattle Sounders vs. Minnesota United
- Seattle Sounders -375
- Minnesota United +260
This is perhaps a bit more of a fair representation of the relationship between the two teams competing in the match.

Seattle has never lost to Minnesota, and this is already as far as Minnesota has ever gotten in the playoffs.
However, the two teams are in very different form right now - Seattle is scraping by, while Minnesota is playing out of their minds.
The Sounders have defeated a COVID-riddled LAFC squad and prevailed over FC Dallas by one goal.
Meanwhile, Minnesota hasn’t lost a game since September, and defeated Colorado and Kansas City with 3-0 scores.
Basically, Minnesota are as good as they’ve ever been, while Seattle, a championship level team, has been playing down to the level of their competition.
This means that soccer bettors have a lot of interesting options on the table, especially when Minnesota are underdogs to the level that they are.
Heisman Trophy Betting
The Heisman Trophy is up for grabs this season, and there are several major competitors for the award, all QBs, with one exception.
Heisman Trophy Winner
- Mac Jones - Alabama QB -175
- Kyle Trask - Florida QB +125
- Trevor Lawrence - Clemson QB +1200
- Justin Fields - Ohio State QB +1600
- Devonta Smith - Alabama WR +1800
- Ian Book - Notre Dame QB +3300
At the top of the odds boards is Alabama QB Mac Jones, who was an underdog as recently as a few weeks ago.
Jones has been terrific all season as Alabama looks to prove that their system with Tua Tagovailoa under center wasn’t a fluke.
Jones is followed by Kyle Trask, who has been having a similarly excellent season, and the two are set for a collision at the SEC Championship Game.
That game could end up determining who wins the Heisman Trophy, and it is fairly remarkable that both major candidates for the award are in the SEC.
Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence sits at +1200, and a lot of that is due to missing games with COVID-19. It’s not Lawrence’s fault, but he couldn’t play in the Notre Dame game, and in a season this short, missing a few games hurt his candidacy significantly.
Justin Fields at Ohio State is suffering from similar problems - Ohio State has only played five games so far this season.
Devonta Smith of Alabama is the best WR in college football this year. One thing people might not know, however, is that Smith was arguably the best WR on Alabama last year.
On a team that featured Henry Ruggs and Jerry Jeudy, both first round draft picks, Smith led the team in both receiving yards and touchdowns.
Smith’s prowess is honestly a large part of Jones’ candidacy - he might be the best player in the country.

Finally, at the end of the list is Notre Dame QB Ian Book, who simply does not compare with the statistical profiles of the top end QBs, but is good enough to warrant a mention.
The real battle is between Jones and Trask, both of whom have played something close to a normal schedule.
Heisman bettors should pay close attention to the SEC Championship Game, which will be a showdown between Trask and Jones, for all the marbles.
That game will take place on December 19th, 2020.
