West Virginia vs. Iowa State
- Iowa State +900
- West Virginia -1700
At -1700, one might wonder if it’s worth betting on West Virginia at all. -1700 odds generate an RoI of about 5.8%.
Whether or not a 5.8% RoI is worth taking a shot at will be up to individual bettors and the systems of bankroll management they use. The spread makes this matchup a fair bit more interesting.
West Virginia vs. Iowa State
- Iowa State +15 (-101)
- West Virginia -15 (-119)
West Virginia -15 has some serious shading in its direction on the spread. In addition, many sportsbooks have moved the spread to look something closer to this:

- Iowa State +15.5 (-110)
- West Virginia -15.5 (-110)
This is an interesting situation for those that choose to line shop on this matchup.
One can either take the hook, or take the points. Both of these potential wagers are roughly equivalent, but denote different methods of oddsmaking.
NCAA basketball bettors will have to choose which spread appeals to them more, and there are also many alternate spreads on the online sportsbooks.
Boxing Betting
The IBF World Middleweight Championship is on the line as Gennady Golovkin faces off against Kamil Szeremeta.
Golovkin is one of the most decorated champions in the history of the sport, and has been one of the most dominant fighters in the sport. As many are aware, he lost his titles a few years ago, but reclaimed some of them in 2019.
Now, those titles, the IBF and IBO Middleweight belts, are on the line. Kamil Szeremeta, however, is a heavy underdog in the matchup against Triple G.

His last fight, against Sergiy Derevyanchenko, was a lot closer than many expected, raising questions about whether GGG still had it in him.
In addition, one wonders whether Golovkin could be overlooking Szeremeta - this fight is likely a tune up fight for a potential third matchup against Canelo Alvarez.
The odds have moved a bit in the last day, and they have moved a bit away from Golovkin.
Per Deadspin, a day ago, Golovkin was sitting around -3000 to -3400, but today, he’s around -2750 on several major online sportsbooks.
Regardless of the odds moving a bit, Golovkin is still a massive favorite to win this matchup, as he likely deserves to be.
Bundesliga Betting
The Bundesliga brings some solid soccer action to the table as Union Berlin takes on Borussia Dortmund.
Union Berlin is currently in sixth place in the Bundesliga, with a record of four wins, six draws and two losses this season. Borussia Dortmund sits in fourth place, with a record of seven wins, one draw and four losses so far. Union Berlin has done well to keep so many games close, but Borussia Dortmund still seems a cut above them in terms of winning games.
The odds seem to agree.
Union Berlin vs. Borussia Dortmund
- Union Berlin +385
- Borussia Dortmund -145
- Draw +300
One aspect that sticks out about this game is that Borussia Dortmund is far less adept at goal scoring than Union Berlin right now, as odd as that may seem.
Dortmund have a 16-9 goal differential, which denotes their strong defense. Meanwhile, Union Berlin have scored nine more goals and allowed eight more goals, giving them a 25-17 goal differential.
Union Berlin vs. Borussia Dortmund - No Draw
- Union Berlin +245
- Borussia Dortmund -345
On the no draw moneyline, Dortmund are notably more favored, but Berlin see a fairly significant odds boost as well.
A draw seems to be a very likely outcome, relatively speaking. Union Berlin have shown themselves to be very adept at playing for draws, while Dortmund’s elite defense could keep the game close no matter what.
This matchup is a clash of styles, and it will be interesting from both a soccer betting perspective and a soccer fan perspective.
