- Kent State are -2500 favorites over Akron in Tuesday’s MACtion game.
- Spain have +130 odds to defeat Germany in the UEFA Nations League.
- Stefanos Tsitsipas takes on Andrey Rubiev in the ATP Tour Finals.
LAS VEGAS - Today’s Daily Sports Betting Preview covers three compelling wagering opportunities from across the globe.
First, in Tuesday night MACtion, the Akron Zips face off against the Kent State Golden Flashes as massive spread underdogs. Then, the UEFA Nations League sees Spain taking on Germany. Finally, the ATP World Tour Finals features a matchup between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rubiev.
There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get started!
MAC Football Betting
The Mid-American Conference is back, and betting on MACtion has never felt so sweet! Tuesday football is a gift to everyone involved.
Unfortunately, but perhaps not unsurprisingly, the MACtion slate today involves two games that are incredibly lopsided.
One of them, however, is slightly less so - and that’s the focus for today. This matchup is between the Akron Zips and the Kent State Golden Flashes.
Akron vs. Kent State Moneyline Odds
- Kent State -2500
- Akron +1050
Kent State is the prohibitive -2500 favorite on this moneyline, while Akron has +1050 odds to beat the Golden Flashes. Kent State bettors would likely be best served in terms of guaranteed results by taking the moneyline, but the profit on it would be incredibly low - 4% return on investment.
Akron vs. Kent State Spread Odds
- Kent State -26.0 (-110)
- Akron +26.0 (-110)
On the spread, Kent State are 26.0 point favorites, while the line opened at Kent State -24.0 at most online sportsbooks.
Kent State enters this matchup with a 2-0 record, while Akron is 0-2 to start out the year. The Over/Under line for this game is set at 58.5 points.
Akron is 2-11 against the spread as underdogs in their last thirteen games as such, which does not inspire confidence.
Kent State, meanwhile, has several trends running in their favor in this matchup.
They are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games, and 7-1 ATS in their last eight against teams with losing records. In addition, the Golden Flashes have a 5-1 ATS record in their last six conference games.
They’ve been on quite a roll from the end of last season into this season, and there’s no reason why that would stop now beyond variance.
UEFA Nations League
The UEFA Nations League brings international matchups to new heights - or at least that’s the idea behind it. There is a spectacular matchup on the slate today, however, as Spain takes on Germany.
These two international powerhouses are battling for a spot at the top of their group, and have a fair amount to play for today.
Germany are one point clear of Spain in the group right now, and the two teams have already met once, in a 1-1 draw. This matchup could serve as the tiebreaker for the group if Spain manages to win it or if Germany holds on.
Spain has won two of the last four matchups they’ve had against Germany, and the other two have been draws.

The three-way moneyline reflects this potentially slight advantage that Spain holds:
Spain vs. Germany Moneyline Odds
- Spain +130
- Germany +195
- Draw +260
Spain’s odds put them as a +130 favorite, which is fairly reasonable in terms of the result they need to top the group. Germany has +195 odds to take the win, and +260 odds to hold on for a draw, which would see them top the group.
It looks like Spain may be favored to win the match, but if one were betting on who would be on top of the group, Germany would probably be slightly favored.
This matchup is not expected to be a 0-0 draw either - both teams are favored to score goals during the game.
Spain vs. Germany - Both Teams To Score Odds
- Yes -175
- No +130
This compelling soccer betting opportunity kicks off at 2:45 p.m. EST.
ATP Finals Betting
The ATP Finals continue with yet another incredible matchup as Andrey Rubiev faces off against Stefanos Tsitsipas. This matchup is tipped to be incredibly close on both the spread and the moneyline, and it’s not hard to see why.
Andrey Rubiev vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas Odds To Win
- Andrey Rubiev +105
- Stefanos Tsitsipas -125
The moneyline has Tsitsipas as an extremely mild favorite over Rubiev, with -125 odds to win the match.
The spread is similarly close:
Andrey Rubiev vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas Spread Odds
- Andrey Rubiev +1.0 (-120)
- Stefanos Tsitsipas -1.0 (-110)
The introduction of a single game’s handicap swings the odds toward Rubiev +1.0. This matchup hangs on a knife’s edge, and looks to be a genuinely spectacular showdown between two elite players.
Rubiev is coming off of an uncharacteristically poor performance against Rafael Nadal, which he wrote off as nerves:
“In general I was serving not good at all because I was a little bit nervous, which is normal,” said Rubiev.
The two competitors have faced off four times before, with each winning twice. This matchup will be the head to head tiebreaker, and could serve as an elimination match for Rubiev, given his loss to Nadal.
This matchup kicks off at 3:00 p.m. EST.
