The main storyline throughout this series has been the unlikely hero known as Michael Hutchinson in goal for Colorado.
Hutchinson was a back-up keeper for the Toronto Maple Leafs before being dumped in favor of a better number two option. Hutchinson was traded to the Avs and initially brought in a third emergency option behind Philipp Grubauer and Pavel Francouz.
Naturally, as these things go, Hutchinson was thrust into the spotlight and called upon to save the Avalanche after going down 3-1 to the Stars.

In a surprise to most, Hutchinson performed tremendously to lead his team back in this series and will be between the posts Friday night for the final chapter.
Meanwhile, the Stars have one of the best goaltending duos in the NHL behind Anton Khudobin and Ben Bishop, who have been exposed so far in the last two games. Khudobin will get the start in Game 7.
This game will come down to who can produce a more effective offense in the build-up play, and establish consistent shooting lines.
While some hockey bettors will want to take the upset, the fact of the matter is the Avalanche has been the better team offensively in the last two games.
While Hutchinson certainly doesn’t have the best track record in big moments, he has been great so far and has no real reason to be doubted at this point.
While the Stars are getting good value at +105, look for Colorado to take this one in a clutch moment.
