Clemson Tigers CFB Odds In A Post Trevor Lawrence World

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers are entering a new era as their star QB Trevor Lawrence has gone on to the NFL. Despite losing their biggest player, the Tigers are still seeing a lot of action at online sportsbooks.

Gamblers betting on college football are still wagering on Clemson to win, as they currently sit with the second shortest odds to win the 2021-2022 NCAA National Championship.

Clemson Odds

Not only does Clemson have short odds to win the championship, but the Tigers are also ranked third in the AP Top 25 official college football rankings.

This shows fans that despite the loss of Lawrence, the Tigers still have an elite team on paper.

Coming back this season are S Nolan Turner, DE Myles Murphy, DL Bryan Bresee, and OL Walker Parks who are each All-American athletes.

Both the defensive line and offensive line largely remain intact and Clemson made it to the Sugar Bowl game last season, finishing with a 10-2 record and being ranked No. 2 in the nation.

QB DJ Uiagalelei was able to show off his skills last season as Lawrence sat out with injuries and a few COVID-19 protocols.

When Uiagalelei started against Notre Dame last season, the then-freshman QB threw for 439 passing yards and two passing TDs.

Uiagalelei isn’t shying away from this new leadership role either, already expressing the lessons obtained being redshirted behind Lawrence last season.

“Me being able to learn under Trevor (Lawrence) and see the things he does, I just try and take notes,”  said Uiagalelei. “ I pick his brain here and there just to see what makes him great and see what he does every day to make him great and the sacrifices he makes.”

Clemson Outlook This Season

The Tigers were amongst the best teams in both offense and defense last season and this is expected to continue during the 2021-2022 college football season.

Although they suffered a loss to Ohio State Buckeyes last year, missing the Championship Game, Ohio State saw their QB Justin Fields also move to the NFL.

Fields played a college career game against Clemson to advance to the Championships and with him gone, Ohio State is now less of a threat to the Tigers. The Buckeyes have not yet decided on a starting QB to date.

The Alabama Crimson Tide, on the other hand, will always be the big dog standing in Clemson’s way of a National Championship. Clemson betting fans just need the Tigers to be good enough to beat Alabama and they will cash in big with USA online sportsbooks.

Alabama will be bringing back a majority of their defensive lineman, a unit that led Alabama to the number one defense in the nation. It won’t be an easy task to do in a post-Lawrence world, but Clemson still has the roster to compete for Champion crowned glory.
