Champions League Betting: PSG The Favorite Over RB Leipzig

LISBON, Portugal – The semifinals of the UEFA Champions League begin Tuesday, with the first of two matches from Portugal to decide the best team in European competition.

The usual two-leg format of the tournament has been nixed in favor of single, sudden death matches in leu of the coronavirus pandemic.

Following their exciting win in the quarterfinals, RB Leipzig of the Bundesliga continues their dream run through the Champions League.

Unfortunately for Leipzig, they now face off against French league Champions Paris Saint-Germain Tuesday afternoon.

Betting odds and lines are now available for the event, with PSG as the heavy favorites.

Leipzig will have to keep up with the high powered PSG if they hope to reach further than their first-ever appearance in the UCL semi-finals.

PSG just barely made it to this stage after a dramatic 90’ goal against Atalanta, giving them their first UCL semifinal appearance since 1995.

PSG is looking to continue a seven-game winning streak across all competitions heading into Tuesday’s match.

Most of that success is due to star Kylian Mbappe, who came off of the bench in the quarterfinal and scored the winning goal. Mbappe has scored all five of his UCL goals after the 60th minute in competition, in addition to setting up five assists.

Despite his late heroics, Mbappe is also available in some soccer prop bets that ask who will score the first goal of the day. Mbappe leads all players with +300 odds.

Despite the dream run from the German side, it will take a monumental effort to lift them over the dominant PSG. Expect another great match Tuesday in the Champions League.
