- Aaron Rodgers has been reportedly unhappy in Green Bay.
- Rodgers did very well as the guest host of Jeopardy!, and wants to try to go full time.
- He has +400 odds to be the next full time host of the show.
LAS VEGAS - Reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers hit his organization with a shot across the bow on draft day, as news leaked that he wanted out of Green Bay.
“Rodgers is so disgruntled with the Green Bay Packers that he has told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team,” said Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Reporting by Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports indicated that there was serious conflict between Rodgers and Packers GM Brian Gutekunst.
Robinson’s report further noted that, per a source in Rodgers’ camp, Rodgers is “willing to weigh hardline options at his disposal — from refusing to show up for offseason activities to holding out of training camp and possibly retirement.”
All of this is to say that the possibility of Aaron Rodgers hosting Jeopardy! full time just got a lot more realistic.
Who Will Be The Next Full Time Host Of ‘Jeopardy!’?
- LeVar Burton +175
- Ken Jennings +210
- Aaron Rodgers +400
- Mike Richards +1000
- Alex Faust +1200
- Laura Coates +1200
- Mayim Bialik +1400
- Anderson Cooper +1500
- Sanjay Gupta +2000
- Savannah Guthrie +2000
- Bill Whitaker +2200
- Dr. Oz +10000
Is this the most likely turn for Rodgers? Probably not - at least as far as the online sportsbooks see it - but it seems to be genuinely on the table, looking at the odds.
One more note on #Packers QB Aaron Rodgers: He really impressed the brass during his stint on Jeopardy. The belief is, when they finish auditions, he’ll be among those with a chance to do the job full-time. If this isn’t sorted out, a job hosting is also a possibility.

Ian Rapaport reported that the Jeopardy! connection, even though it seems like a joke, is a genuine possibility for Rodgers, who did very well as a guest host on the show.
Incredibly, the reigning MVP of the NFL could be contemplating retirement to host Jeopardy!.
Still, this could be something of a wild card, and Rodgers is well below LeVar Burton and Ken Jennings on the Jeopardy! host odds boards.
This is certainly a wild saga, and NFL bettors will be waiting with bated breath to see what the next turn in it will be.
