ATLANTA- So many bowl games have started but everyone is waiting for the two biggest bowl games of the bowl season. Both games decides who gets a chance to play in the College Football Playoff National Championship game on January 13.

The Chic-Fil-A Peach Bowl will kick off at 4 p.m. EST as the Oklahoma Sooners take on the LSU Tigers. After that, the Playstation Fiest Bowl will kick off at 8 p.m. EST as the Clemson Tigers take on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

All four teams have huge chances to make it to the championship game on January 13 but only two can go. US Sportsbooks break down both games and a few props that bettors can look into headed into this weekend’s bowl games.

No. 4 Oklahoma vs No. 1 LSU

This matchup is one that many SEC fans are looking forward to. Former SEC freshman of the year Jalen Hurts will be back on the field against LSU, only this time it's with the Sooners.

Having been to three national championships games already with an SEC team in the Alabama Crimson Tide, Hurts already has the experience and the resume that shows he is ready for a game with such high implications against the Tigers.

What makes it even more interesting, Hurts has played against the Tigers a few times before so he is pretty familiar with this team and their reputation. Although Hurts is very familiar with this team, LSU (-600) is a two-touchdown favorite over the Sooners (+400)

Total Points Scored

LSU vs Ok Totals

With both of these teams having explosive offenses, this game could shed a few bowl game records. Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow is leading the Tigers to averaging 47 points per game with over 600 total points. With all the weapons Burrow has, this offense will be tough to stop.

It will be even tougher for the Sooners to stop with their star defensive lineman Ronnie Perkins suspended for this game. This LSU offense may take advantage.

Even with LSU putting up a lot of numbers, Hurts and his Oklahoma crew have matched them all season long. Putting up 43 points per game, the Sooners match the Tigers very well on offense. Hurts looks like a different quarterback in this Oklahoma offense under head coach Lincoln Riley.

Hurts looks more like an NFL quarterback under Riley throwing for over 3,500 yards and 32 touchdowns. With one main weapon in CeeDee Lam expect this offense to get rolling with LSU. Both offenses can put up massive numbers so we could see one of the highest-scoring games in college bowl game history.

No. 3 Clemson vs No. 2 Ohio State

The last time Clemson and Ohio State played against each other was in the third year of the college football playoffs in 2016. Clemson, who many thought didn’t deserve to be in the playoffs proved them wrong by shutting out the Buckeyes 31-0.

Even with both teams having a high powered offense and a title in jeopardy, the Tigers are set to repeat the same results in 2016.

With Clemson (-125) being favored over the Buckeyes (+105), the over/under is set at 63 points. The Buckeyes have always been known to have a powerful offense so seeing how they play against this Clemson defense is one to watch. With both teams playing weak schedules, expect one team to shock their opponent.

Score Three Unanswered Times

LSU vs Ok Score

Both Clemson and Ohio State have found themselves playing teams during the regular season that can’t move the ball. There are also times where both teams couldn’t move the ball as well. With that being said, there is a good chance that either team can score three times before the opponent does.

Clemson has beaten their opponents this year by an average of 35 points. This means not only is their defense getting off the field but their offense, led by Trevor Lawrence, is capitalizing on every extra possession they are getting.

Ohio State is following the same model that Clemson is by beating their opponents by an average of 36 points. Justin Fields has a few targets that he spreads the ball to which causes problems for defenses keying in on stopping one player. This Buckeye offense takes time to unravel but once they get the ball rolling, they are hard to stop.

Even with both teams throwing up so many points per game, the Buckeyes may be the team who can’t hang with the Tigers and could be scored on three times before scoring a single point. With this offense taking time to get rolling, the Tigers attack and continue until the clock hits zero.

The Buckeyes have seen teams put up points and play conservatively. Head coach Dabo Swinney and the Tigers are never playing conservatively and have proved that all year long. One bad drive by the Buckeyes and three possessions could go by quickly with Clemson grabbing points on each one.
