ISTANBUL – The Turkish Grand Prix is set to take place on Sunday in response to the Singapore Grand Prix being canceled. Although Lewis Hamilton is the defending champion, Max Verstappen is favored to win the race.
Lewis Hamilton Or Max Verstappen This Weekend?
The Formula 1 world has been dominated by Lewis Hamilton for about a decade, however, Max Verstappen has been closing ground and seems to have finally overtaken Hamilton as the best driver in the field. Online betting sites have Verstappen labeled as the favorite to win the Turkish Grand Prix for the first time in his career.

Both drivers will be fighting for the lead in the F1 drivers’ standings as they’re separated by just two points. The odds are likely to see some movement after the starting grid is settled post-qualifying, but as it stands, both Verstappen and Hamilton have value.
One of the two has won 12 of the 15 races this season with Verstappen holding a narrow 7-5 advantage, 6-5 if not including the one-lap Belgian Grand Prix. It should be noted that Lewis Hamilton was given a 10-spot starting grid penalty for making changes to his power unit, but as we saw last week with Verstappen, that doesn't put him out of contention.
