2021 NFL Draft Odds Show Where The Prospects Fall

• The Jacksonville Jaguars have the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
• They are projected to take Trevor Lawrence, with -4000 odds to do so.
• The New York Jets are looking at Justin Fields, with -110 odds to end up with the Ohio State QB.

LAS VEGAS - The NFL Playoffs are in full swing, and while many bettors are involved in wagering on the playoffs, many more are looking ahead to the NFL Draft.

After all, more teams are out of the playoffs at this point than are in them, and the Draft holds the futures of many teams.

There are NFL draft odds up on the major sportsbooks as to which of these teams will end up with which players.

Trevor Lawrence is going to the Jacksonville Jaguars. One struggles to imagine the kind of change it would take for the Jags to go with anyone else. Lawrence has been the number one pick in the NFL since his freshman year and is likely the best QB prospect since Andrew Luck.

He will go number one overall, and the Jaguars have the number one overall pick.

The QB that led the team that beat Lawrence in the College Football Playoff is up next on most draft boards.

Justin Fields has had an interesting year as far as draft stock goes, looking downright poor at times during the season. However, he showed up big against Clemson and cemented his status as the number two QB in the draft - likely to the New York Jets.

Speaking of quarterbacks in the Playoff, Mac Jones of Alabama is projected to hang around in the middle of the first round, with Denver (9), Indianapolis (21) and Washington (19) all boasting equal odds to come away with him.

Perception of Jones went from game manager to truly elite player in college football this year, much like Joe Burrow did in 2019-2020.

He didn’t vault up the draft boards like Burrow did because his offensive production was less absurd, but there’s a potential for real talent here.

Kyle Trask led the Florida Gators to a solid season, with losses to Alabama and LSU derailing them at the last moment.

Trask put up elite numbers and is projected to go to either the Colts, the Raiders (17), the Saints (29) or the Steelers (28).

Trask looks to be the fourth QB off the board, towards the mid to late first round. There are plenty of teams in that range that could want him.

DeVonta Smith, the winner of the Heisman Trophy, is the best receiver in college football, and easily the number one receiver in this draft class.

Smith is projected to go in the top ten, with the Bengals and Eagles both looking at him to pair with young QB’s in need of weapons in Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts.

The Patriots sit at +400, which is interesting, but they also might need to address the QB position if they have a chance to do so.

The Dolphins, with multiple QBs on their roster already (including Tua Tagovailoa, picked in the top five last year) are also looking at Smith, due to their lack of receiving options.

Each of these players presents interesting questions to those who would predict the draft.
