But those who bet on entertainment events like American Idol can take a few trends and use them to place bets on one of the most popular singing competitions in the country.

Which Judge Will Be The First To Leave?

There are three celebrity judges on that sit on the panel during the show. Soul Singer Lionel Richie, Pop Star Katy Perry, and Country sensation Luke Bryan.

As the seasons go on, judges have come and gone. This is the third season that these three judges will return to the show together but will it be the last time they are all together?

Of the three judges, Lionel Richie has the shortest odds on online sportsbooks at being the first judge to walk away from the show. There is one possibility that could lead to him staying or leaving. His age could play a role in him walking away from the show.

At 70 years old, Richie has accomplished a lot having won four Grammy’s and nine AMA Awards. He does not need to prove anything else by staying as a judge on the show.

The other option could be that his career touring and making music have come to an end so being a judge on the show could be a way for him to spend his time. Lionel Richie’s +100 odds of leaving leads the list.

Katy Perry is another candidate to leave the show as she is undoubtedly the most famous judge on the show today. Depending on whether or not we see new music or tour dates for Perry, that would give bettors a better idea of if she is leaving or not. Katy Perry’s odds for leaving American Idol are +150.

Last on the list, Luke Bryan does not seem to be going anywhere. He seems to be having a great time being a judge on the show. He even stated that he would cut down the total number of concerts he performs to devote more time to the show.

“We knew when I took on Idol that it was going to take up a lot of my off-season time, next year I’m probably going to trim a few dates off the tour. I just kind of need to settle in that mold of not doing 100 shows a year and scale back a hair,” Bryan told iHeartRadio.

Of all the talented singers that have won the show, history shows that all of the writers have been male. Even for the most notable female winners, males have written the final songs. Expect that to be the case again this season when the finale of the show comes around.

The odds for both male and female songwriters are at -110. There is however another option that might be unlikely. That other option is that a contestant will perform an original song with odds of +500.

Of the 18 winners that have come out of the show, six of them have been women and the other eleven are men. In the last five seasons of the show, men have won five times.

Since the premiere of the show, there have been 20 male contestants that have either won or been next in line as a runner up. For the women, only 13 have either won or been a runner up.

Maybe this year, the ladies could look at the other notable female winners such as Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks or Carrie Underwood as an inspiration to start a winning trend for the women.
