The Open will make its return after two years with the 2020 edition of the tournament being canceled for the first time since World War II.

Return To Royal St. George

The course at Royal St. George’s is a classic Par 70 with a distance measured at 7,189 yards. Being England in July, blustery, wet conditions are to be expected throughout the weekend in Sandwich.

The course lasted hosted The Open in 2011, producing an unassuming winner in Darren Clarke. Before Clarke, Ben Curtis took home the Claret Jug in 2003, with Greg Norman capturing the championship in 1993.

Norman’s 13-under score in ‘93 was the only time the winner has shot better than 5-under at this course.

The Big Fish Across The Pond

The field is back to full strength this week and the stars are sitting atop the betting board once again.

Brooks’ rival Bryson DeChambeau would love to perform his best this week but will find a bit of trouble bombing his way around this course. This is not a particularly long course, and it is one that loves to punish those who can’t find fairways like Bryson.
