- Everton has +185 odds to defeat Leicester City on the three way moneyline.
- The Nashville Predators are -180 favorites over the Chicago Blackhawks.
- The Philadelphia 76ers are three point home dogs to the LA Lakers.
LAS VEGAS - Welcome to Wednesday's Daily Sports Betting Preview, featuring three major sports leagues.
First, in the Premier League, Everton takes on Leicester City in a solid soccer betting matchup. Then, in the NHL, the Chicago Blackhawks battle the Nashville Predators.
Finally, the Los Angeles Lakers face off against the Philadelphia 76ers in some solid NBA action.
There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get started!
Premier League Betting
Everton’s excellent start to the season has fallen by the wayside a bit, as they have now been eclipsed by several other excellent teams. They currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League with 32 points, and have a tough test ahead of them today.
However, each game like this is also an opportunity - Everton has played the least games of any team in the Top 8. Leicester City is currently third place in the Premier League, with a record of 12-2-5, good for 38 points.
Leicester City vs. Everton Three Way Moneyline
- Everton +185
- Leicester City +155
- Draw +255
This matchup is remarkably close on the sportsbooks, with Leicester City the nominal favorite at +155, and Everton close behind at +185.
Leicester City vs. Everton No Draw Moneyline
- Everton -105
- Leicester City -130
The no draw moneyline is similarly contested, although it doesn’t seem like a great wager for this matchup.
This is because it has very similar odds to the spread, which is set at +0.0, and is much more beneficial to the bettor.
Leicester City vs. Everton Spread
- Everton +0.0 (+105)
- Leicester City +0.0 (-125)
Taking the 0.0 spread on either of these teams is preferable in terms of odds to taking them on the no draw moneyline.
These bets are effectively identical, but the spread on both Everton and Leicester City is simply cheaper for any soccer betting fan to get in on.
NHL Betting
The Chicago Blackhawks and the Nashville Predators currently occupy the sixth and fifth spots in the Central Division, respectively.
The Blackhawks have a record of 2-3-2-0, while the Predators clock in at 3-3-0-0.
Chicago Blackhawks vs. Nashville Predators
- Chicago Blackhawks +160
- Nashville Predators -180
With two teams of similar strength, betting trends can play a large role in how NHL betting enthusiasts approach this matchup.
One major trend for both of these teams involves the home/away discrepancy.
The Blackhawks are the road team in this matchup, and they are 4-17 in their last 21 games on the road. In addition, the Blackhawks are 0-6 in their last six games as underdogs. The Predators, meanwhile, are 4-0 in their last four games as a home favorite, and 4-1 in their last five home games.
In other words, the Predators historically perform pretty well at home, while the Blackhawks are fairly poor as road dogs.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Nashville Predators Puck Line
- Chicago Blackhawks +1.5 (-150)
- Nashville Predators -1.5 (+130)
The puck line sees the game at slightly more of an equilibrium than the moneyline, but still lopsided - just the other way this time.
The Blackhawks are 4-3 against the puck line this season, while the Predators have a record of 3-3 against the puck line so far.
NBA Betting
Arguably the two best teams in the NBA are set to go head to head today as the LA Lakers battle the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Lakers have the best record in the NBA, at 14-4, and sit atop the Western Conference standings. The Sixers have a 12-6 record, and are the best team in the Eastern Conference.
The Lakers are widely regarded as a better team, but they are going on the road for this matchup.
LA Lakers vs. Philadelphia 76ers Spread
- LA Lakers -3.0 (-115)
- Philadelphia 76ers +3.0 (-105)
The Lakers are favored by three points as road favorites, while the Sixers, at home, are underdogs.
One thing to note about the Sixers is that they have a particularly heavy discrepancy between home and road performance.
At home, the Sixers are 9-1 straight up and 7-3 against the spread. On the road, they’re 3-5 straight up and 2-6 against the spread.
The Sixers had a similar split last season as well.
Of the 31 games the Sixers played at home (before the bubble) in the previous season, they won 29 of them.
They seem to have picked up right where they left off, absolutely dominating at home and performing poorly on the road.
Incredibly, however, the Lakers are also riding a streak - the reverse of what the Sixers are doing.
The Lakers are 10-0 straight up on the road this season, and 7-3 ATS on the road.
In other words, counterintuitively, this looks to be a matchup between two teams at their best. The Lakers are at their best on the road, and the Sixers are at their best at home.
NBA betting enthusiasts will have to choose between two outrageous trendlines in this matchup.
