ORLANDO, Fla. – With Game 1 of the NBA Finals in the books, Game 2 is now on the horizon with the Lakers looking to take a 2-0 series lead over the Miami Heat.
Online sportsbooks have the Los Angeles Lakers as very heavy favorites to win Game 2 over the Heat and go up 2-0 in the series.
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat
- Moneyline: Lakers (-600) vs. Heat (+400)
- Spread: Lakers -10
- Total: 216.5 Points
Starting with the moneyline, the Lakers NBA odds are drastically favored for a reason.
That reason is the unfortunate injuries that occurred to the Miami Heat in Game 1. Both Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic are listed as doubtful to play in Game 2 after suffering injuries.
Bam suffered a neck strain which is being monitored while Dragic got the worse end of the deal as he suffered a torn plantar fascia which could in fact keep him out for the remainder of the Finals.
INJURY UPDATE: Goran Dragic (left foot torn plantar fascia) is listed as doubtful to play in tomorrow's #NBAFinals Game 2 vs the Lakers.
Bam Adebayo is also listed as doubtful after a MRI revealed a neck strain (left side).

That being said, this leaves the Heat with much less talent that can actually contend with LeBron James and Anthony Davis who completely took over in Game 1. The Lakers should not have any trouble here on the moneyline.
As for the game total, some might think that it is a bit high considering that the over was missed in Game 1. Also, now that two of Miami’s key players are out of the picture, it is hard to see the Heat being able to keep up on the scoreboard.
Even when fully healthy, they were not able to hit the over. That being said, with Miami not fully 100%, the Lakers will not be able to hold up the score on their own which makes the under the right way to go.
As for the spread, the Lakers obviously have a large favorite status being that they covered the spread and then some in Game 1.
Again, with all of Miami’s injuries, it is hard seeing the Lakers not cover the spread especially after being able to do so in Game 1 when the Heat were fully healthy.
