- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had +350 odds to sign Leonard Fournette after being waived by Jacksonville.
TAMPA BAY, Fla. – In a wild week of events in the NFL, running back Leonard Fournette did not have to wait long to find his new home.
The LSU graduate will only have to travel a short distance across the state of Florida, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Fournette agreed to a contract late on Wednesday.
#Bucs are giving RB Leonard Fournette a 1-year deal worth a max value of $3.5M, source said. He gets a $2M base salary and incentives are based on rush yards & play-time. Plus, with no off-sets from his #Jaguars deal, Fournette can double dip if he wins his grievance & add $4.2M.

Fournette has not seen much success with the Jacksonville Jaguars, as he consistently was shown 9 men in the box and could never seem to find running room.
With the signing, Fournette will join the likes of LeSean McCoy and Ronald Jones in the backfield for Tampa. Adding in the weapons on the outside of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, the running lanes should be the most open that Fournette has ever seen in the NFL.

Immediately after the signing, the Buccaneers odds to win the Super Bowl, win the NFC, and win the NFC South all saw movement at online betting sites.
Futures Bet: | Before: | After: |

Win SB | +1200 | +1000 |
Win NFC | +600 | +500 |
Win NFC South | +145 | +130 |
As the Buccaneers are still underdogs in the NFC South to the New Orleans Saints (-105), they have surprisingly jumped them on the NFC Championship oddsboard (+525).
Regardless, these two teams are neck and neck in their arms race for power, as the focus shifts to Alvin Kamara and the Saints.
Kamara skipped practice in efforts to rework his contract and rumors suggest that the Saints will meet the running back at the table to finalize a deal.
With Fournette locked into the Bucs for at least one season, the Saints are up next to figure out their plan regarding their Pro Bowl running back.
