FanDuel Increases The Arms Race With SportsGrid Partnership

  • FanDuel will now be a television affiliated sportsbook due to their newest partnership with the network SportsGrid.
  • SportsGrid will air all of FanDuel’s odds and bets sporadically during their 24 hour a day sports betting programs.

NEW YORK - FanDuel and their sports betting greatness will be coming to television screens near you through their latest deal with SportsGrid.

The network is a rarity, running 24-hour sports betting information and up to date sporting event information for the sports gambler in everyone. With this partnership, SportsGrid will be using the FanDuel Group as their official sportsbook promoting all of the company’s betting data throughout its daily programming schedule.

The Parameters Of The Deal

SportsGrid will retain the exclusive rights to air FanDuel’s betting odds across the board from the sportsbook itself to horse races, and Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) at any time during any show on the network.

In return, this new partnership that spans multiple years will allow FanDuel unlimited access to market themselves via any number of channels through both radio and television platforms who are connected to SportsGrid.

This includes XUMO, PlutoTV, The Roku Channel, and STIRR.

“Millions of sports fans rely on our real-time data and intelligence as they formulate their fantasy or sports gaming strategy,” said Louis Maione, President and Founder of SportsGrid. “FanDuel has been a great partner for us and furthering our partnership with such a recognized leader in the space helps us better serve the community and strengthens our position as the premier free sports gaming and lifestyle channel.”

FanDuel is notably the top sportsbook in the industry for the United States, often butting heads with DraftKings for the number one spot.

They tend to always edge out DraftKings on a state to state basis though. A network like SportsGrid, who’s sheer existence is based on providing mobile sports betting information for gamblers to wager on matchups, needed a sportsbook company like FanDuel in their corner to pump up their own business.

Each company, FanDuel and SportsGrid both look to see positive outcomes by way of profits and fan engagement from this joint endeavor.

“We’re excited to provide our loyal fantasy and sports betting customers with more ways to learn, play and win through this exclusive partnership with SportsGrid,” said Matt King, CEO of FanDuel. “By deepening our partnership with SportsGrid, we can bolster our distribution footprint in the US and differentiate our content offerings, equipping more fans with the data and intelligence needed to make informed decisions, whether finalizing a lineup or placing a wager on a big game.”

Now What?

According to FanDuel’s Vice President of Content, Adam Kaplan, "Both companies have the technology and positioning to execute a winning tech media strategy."

Under the agreement, the two companies will provide viewers with 50 hours a month of content collaborations.

The agreement also provides SportsGrid with a FanDuel Sportsbook studio with all of the best production equipment for the network to produce their live shows and sports betting news.

Branding of the two companies will be dispersed at their leisure as they each have the right to market the other with this partnership.

FanDuel Sportsbook has just landed themselves a pivotal deal with a sports betting television network. They rose to the challenge of DraftKings entry into the stock market with a jump into TV.

Let the arms race continue.
